Basic Theory Mikrotik - Mikrotik basic theory necessary when we will learn Mikrotik order to understand well the basic material of Mikrotik itself. In the article Tutorial Mikrotik Indonesia had previously been discussed on What the Mikrotik? Mikrotik understanding and explanation. This time we will discuss the Basic Theory Mikrotik.

MikroTik RouterOS ™ is a Linux operating system base designated as a network router. Designed to provide convenience for users. Administration can be done through Windows Application (WinBox). Besides the installation can be done on a Standard PC (Personal Computer). PC which will be used as a proxy router also does not require a resource large enough to use standard, for example, only as a gateway. For the purposes of large loads (complex networks, routing complex) are advised to consider the selection of adequate resource PC.
History MikroTik RouterOS
MikroTik is a small company headquartered in Latvia, adjacent to Russia. Its establishment was initiated by John Trully and Arnis Riekstins. John Trully is an American citizen who immigrated to Latvia. In Latvia he bejumpa with Arnis, A darjana Physics and Mechanics around 1995.
John and Arnis began routing the world in 1996 (MikroTik mission was to routing all over the world). Starting with Linux and MS-DOS technology combined with Wireless-LAN (WLAN) AERONET speed of 2 Mbps in Moldova, neighboring Latvia, then serve five new customers in Latvia.
Their basic principle is not to make the Wireless ISP (W-ISP), but it makes the program a router that is reliable and can run around the world. Latvia is only an experiment where John and Arnis, because now they have the help of other countries including Sri Lanka which serves approximately 400 users.
Linux was first used is Kernel 2.2 which was developed jointly denag 5-15 people support staff Research and Development (R & D) that now dominate the world MikroTik routing in developing countries. According to Arnis, in addition to staff within MikroTik, they also recruited tenega-freelancers and third parties to develop an intensive marathon MikroTik.
Types of Mikrotik
1. MikroTik RouterOS in the form of software that can be downloaded at www.mikrotik.com. Kompuetr can be installed at home (PC).
2. MikroTik RouterBoard ie BUILT-IN Hardware Mikrotik in the form of hardware that is specially packaged in a board that includes routers already installed MikroTik RouterOS.
